Dr. Krusen’s research interests revolve around scholarship of teaching and learning including pedagogy, curriculum design, distance education, and mentoring mid-level practitioner educators. She is refining an assessment instrument within the theoretical frame of reference Occupational Adaptation. She also designs, implements, and analyses unique learning opportunities through mixed-methods, including through learning analytics.

Dr. Krusen lives in Oregon and Colorado, where she enjoys a wide range of leisure occupational pursuits including hiking, reading, snowshoeing, music performance, reverse carpentry, and cooking for an irregular parade of younglings. This variety of interests supports her teaching about occupation and how it contributes to our ability to meet life challenges.
