Greetings!

My name is Breanne “Bre” McGhee and I am from New Orleans, La. I obtained my Optometry and Masters in Education (VF-L) degrees from Pacific University in 2016 after completing a Bachelors Degree (Psychology) from Xavier University of Louisiana. I completed a Family Practice Optometry residency at the Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic affiliated with the Southern College of Optometry. I obtained Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry in 2017. I am currently a member of the American Academy of Optometry, National Optometric Association, Optometric Association of Louisiana, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, American Optometric Association, and Optometry Association of Louisiana; where I serve as a member on respective boards and committees. During the later part of optometry school, I created my own non-profit organization called “E.Y.E.S.-Elite Youth of Excellence and Service” which aims to uplift, mentor and promote achievement and scholarly excellence within the youth of New Orleans. Now, I serve as a full-time optometrist in different group practices in the surrounding areas.

I am looking forward to working toward a PhD in Education & Leadership and learning how to integrate these tools inter-professionally.  My interest topics are post-secondary and professional school level educations. During my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, traveling, eating out, and Netflix/Chilling.
