Hello everyone. My name is Greg Aldred. I am a high school math, science, and technology teacher at the Catalyst school in the Newberg School district. I think this is my 26th year in public education. I also teach quantitative research for Concordia and GeorgeFox Universities. I have spent my life practicing how to teach math and statistics in ways that help people appreciate the beauty of the subject and “get it”. I am also retired Navy and my two sons text me every now and then – they are awesome. This gives me time to study the world. I recently returned from 8 days in Ukraine. I think the biggest problem facing all of us, and that is why I travel – to learn all I can about it, is how do we create economic growth that is sustainable and minimizes climate change while ensuring economic and political freedom.

I am ready for a good school year I so look forward to working with you.

Greg
